Nomination Preview

We’re less than 12 hours from the new year and the start of ISML 2013 Nominations. A preview of the form is now up, so you can review the changes before things begin. In short, there are new requirements for Nova and Stella Divisions. The nomination page will explain them in more detail, so please read over the rules before submitting your nomination.

The Nomination Period lasts one week, so you have plenty of time to understand the new requirements and then make your choices. You’re only allowed to submit the form once, so there’s absolutely no rush. All nominations count the same whether they are submitted on the first day or the last day.
We will have the ISML 2013 Charter out soon, too.

Time to Say Goodbye to 2012!

First, a big congratulations to Kirigaya Kazuto who’s won this year’s Lapis Scepter in our second exhibition tournament! Despite the bonus exhibition tournament this year being focused on males, we also had a variety of other exhibition matches for all voters. We’re glad to say that the tournament turned out well, and we’re grateful to have your support even after this year’s International Saimoe 2012 has ended!
With the conclusion of the exhibition tournament, we have about two weeks before 2013 nominations start. The 2012 website you see will soon be archived, meaning we’ll be switching to 2013 mode soon, and you can start contributing banners to our 2013 banner rotation.
Nominations will begin January 1st, and will last for one week. The 2013 charter will be up soon, so please stick around for any additional news that’ll come soon. Seasonal Champions and Males’ Semifinals!

As our Bonus Exhibition Tournament draws to a close, we’re also excited to say that the nomination period for International Saimoe League 2013 is less than a month away! It’s been almost two months since Tachibana Kanade was awarded the Heavenly Tiara for International Saimoe League 2012, and we certainly had a successful tournament, thanks to the support of our voters.
The semifinal match for our male contestants this year will be starting in less than 11 hours, and they need your support through the intense semifinal and final matches in order to earn the Lapis Scepter of 2012! In addition, we’d like to congratulate our Summer and Fall exhibition winners, Takanashi Rikka and Yūki Asuna respectively! They’ve worked hard throughout their seasonal exhibition matches to make it this far, but it’s not quite over yet! The two of them will be facing off with the Winter and Spring exhibition champions in order to be crowned the Seasonal winner!
Let’s wish the best of luck to the final contestants in their final matches, and the best of luck to our seasonal exhibition contestants! Give them your full support, and these are the last matches we’ll see of 2012!

Male matchups posted

Matchups for the first round of our bonus tournament are now posted on the voting page. We apologize for the long wait, but it’s almost time to get the Exhibition Period of this ISML off-season started. Voting begins tomorrow!
For the first round, our competitors are grouped into pools of six. You will be able to select up to two characters in each pool. The top two winners of each group will advance to the next around. Unfortunately, that means we will have to eliminate everyone else after one voting day. Our 96 entrants will be reduced to 32. So please choose carefully, and be sure to let your friends know!
Starting on Thursday, we’ll begin our seasonal tournament for the fall and autumn seasons. The winners of this tournament will eventually meet with the winners of our winter and spring seasonal tournaments that were held during the Elimination Period.

Congratulations to our ISML 2012 champion, Tachibana Kanade! A perfect season with 0 losses results in the Heavenly Tiara for the Nova Division contestant. The match caps off another great year for ISML; thank you to all the voters for showing your support.
We are also recognizing Shirakiin Ririchiyo and Kuroyukihime for winning the seasonal exhibition tournaments for winter and spring. The summer and autumn brackets will be held during our exhibition tournaments one month from now. The main event is a male tournament much like last year’s.
So while the ISML postseason has concluded, there’s still more voting to come, starting on November 27. We’ll have more details released about the male tournament and seasonal exhibitions as we get closer to the date. Thank you again for voting.

The Last Match of ISML 2012

With our final match of the International Saimoe League 2012 rapidly approaching, we’d like to say a couple words beforehand! First of all, thank you so much to all our voters and those who contributed to making this a successful year! With that, we’d like to give a big thanks to Ichigo-Sora for making the beautiful promotional posters for our Elimination Period this year. They’ve been a stunning visual for everyone to see on the main page, so we’re very grateful for her contributions (as well for all the years prior)! It’s been a wonderful year and we’re hoping you all look forward to this Championship Match, as well as the Bonus Exhibition Tournament that’s to come!

The Grand Finale is Near!

The Division Finals for the International Saimoe League of 2012 has concluded, and we’re now preparing for the Finals that will top off the last bits of our 2012—and it’s what everyone’s been waiting for! In preparation, however, we’ll be taking a short break until the 14th of October. In the meantime, you can take part in our Postseason Discussion on the ISML Forum, or campaign for your favorite finalists as they’ll need all the support they can get for these last few matches.
And in addition, we shouldn’t forget to congratulate our lovely Division Finals winners! Tachibana Kanade took a heavy lead over her opponents throughout the Division Finals and came out on top with the Sapphire Circlet declaring her the Nova Champion of 2012. Alongside her, stands Misaka Mikoto, who worked hard and stood above her opponents which ultimately led her to become the Stella Champion of 2012, awarding her with the Diamond Circlet.
As we’re finally reaching the conclusion of ISML 2012, the top eight from each division will face-off in Postseason II, where they’ll need all the support they can gather in order to obtain the coveted Heavenly Tiara. Will your favorite ISML contestant muster up enough strength and support to stand out on top?

The community page has an update with a postseason preview by Hachiko. On our main page, we are happy to feature a fanmade PV for the Division Finals by the members of Shimengba of Baidu. We think it’s well done. Our official PV is still in the making and should be ready by the time the Tiara bracket matches are under way.
